1. Scope and Acceptance
These General Terms and Conditions of Sale (GTC) govern the sale of products and/or services on the website shop.davidhaillant.com, operated by David Haillant, whose contact details are provided in the legal notices.
By placing an order, the buyer fully and unconditionally accepts these GTC.
2. Products
2.1. The key features of the products are presented on the website in each product sheet.
2.2. shop.davidhaillant.com strives to provide descriptions that are as accurate as possible. However, should any errors occur, the seller’s liability shall not be engaged.
2.3. Product offers are valid subject to stock availability.
3. Products Requiring Final Assembly by the End User
3.1. Products sold by David Haillant may require final assembly by the user. The buyer of such a product is informed of this during the ordering process. Terms such as “kit” and “PCB,” among others, imply such products.
3.2. The functionality and condition of a product resulting from user assembly are the sole responsibility of the end-user who assembled it.
3.3. It is therefore expected that the end user:
a) Possesses the necessary skills and a minimal understanding of electronic principles relevant to the situation.
b) Is able to read and understand schematics, diagrams, and technical documentation, including from sources other than davidhaillant.com.
c) Is capable of selecting and sourcing, by their own means, the components suitable for the final assembly.
d) Possesses the appropriate tools for soldering, component assembly, etc.
e) Is finally capable of performing all operations necessary for the final product to function as intended.
4. Price
4.1. Prices are indicated in euros, inclusive of all taxes (VAT), excluding delivery charges.
4.2. shop.davidhaillant.com reserves the right to modify its prices at any time. Products are invoiced based on the price list in effect at the time the order is placed.
5. Ordering Process
5.1. The customer places an order via the website by following the online ordering process.
5.2. After validating the shopping cart, the customer must:
a) Provide the information necessary for delivery.
b) Choose a delivery method.
c) Validate their payment method.
5.3. The order becomes final after confirmation by the seller, sent via email or via a confirmation message displayed on shop.davidhaillant.com.
5.4. The seller reserves the right to cancel or refuse any order from a customer with whom there is a prior dispute.
6. Payment
6.1. Payment is due immediately upon order.
6.2. The accepted payment methods are those offered by PayPal.
6.3. Payments are secured via PayPal.
7. Delivery
7.1. Products are delivered to the address provided by the customer during the order process.
7.2. Indicative delivery times are generally 1 to 2 weeks.
7.3. The seller cannot be held responsible for delays attributable to the carrier.
7.4. In case of damaged parcel, the customer must notify the carrier of reservations and inform the seller within 48 hours.
8. Right of Withdrawal
8.1. In accordance with European Directive 2011/83/EU, the customer has a period of 14 days to exercise their right of withdrawal, without having to provide any reason.
8.2. This period runs from the day of receipt of the product by the customer or a third party designated by them.
8.3. To exercise this right:
a) The customer must notify their decision in writing to contact@davidhaillant.com.
b) The product must be returned in new condition, in its original packaging where applicable, to the following address:

8.4. Return shipping costs are the customer’s responsibility.
8.5. The refund will be processed within a maximum of 14 days from the receipt of the returned product.
8.6. Exceptions: The right of withdrawal does not apply to:
a) Goods made to the consumer’s specifications or clearly personalized.
b) Sealed audio/video recordings or computer software which were unsealed after delivery.
c) Perishable goods.
9. Legal Guarantees
9.1. The seller is bound by the legal guarantees provided for by European and French consumer law, notably the legal guarantee of conformity and the guarantee against hidden defects.
9.2. In case of a non-conforming product, the customer can request repair, replacement, or refund.
9.3. The legal guarantees apply only to products actually sold by David Haillant. Components sourced by the customer during the assembly process are excluded.
9.4. Products sold by David Haillant that have been modified or altered by the customer during the assembly process (e.g., printed circuit boards, electronic components, etc., that have been irreversibly modified for assembly) are also excluded from the legal guarantees.

11. After-Sales Service (ASS) and Repairs
11.1. It is possible to request David Haillant to repair any product sold by him.
11.2. However, repairs for products not covered by the legal guarantees will be charged based on a pre-established quote, agreed upon, and validated by the customer.
11.3. Repairs will be carried out within the limits of technical feasibility.
12. Applicable Law and Jurisdiction
12.1. These GTC are governed by French law.
12.2. In the event of a dispute, the courts of France shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory legal provisions to the contrary apply, particularly regarding the customer’s status as a consumer.
